Ways to help.

You can make a difference.

There are so many ways you can be part of the movement to support pediatric patients with cancer and blood disorders. Whether you’re donating, fundraising, sending needed items or raising awareness, you can be part of this community.

When you support the Courage of Carly Fund:

$1 can turn into $13 of external grant funding for research projects.

$25 can assist a family with hospital parking for a month.

$100 can provide for one patient and family comfort kit.

$1,000 can fuel a safe and fun event for patients and their families.

Donate.

Cancer doesn’t care about age. When you make a gift to the Courage of Carly Fund, you’re helping to bring hope to the kids and families who turn to Roswell Park in the midst of their disease.

Fundraise.

Create a fundraising page.

Starting a fundraising page is easy! By collecting online donations, you can make a real difference in the fight against pediatric cancer and blood disorders.

Start or join a fundraising team.

Fundraising as a team gives your friends and family the ability to fundraise together. They will also be able to create their own fundraising page alongside yours so you can reach your goals as a team.

Set up a Facebook fundraiser.

You can also fundraise for the Courage of Carly Fund on Facebook. Starting a fundraiser on Facebook is a quick and easy way to support Roswell Park’s youngest patients in just a few easy steps. Amazon.

We are touched by the heartfelt kindness and thoughtfulness of our community in helping to spread joy to hundreds of pediatric cancer and blood disorder patients across Western New York.

Through an Amazon Wish List we compile on behalf of our families, donors are able to send holiday gifts for our pediatric patients directly to Roswell Park. Toys, games, gifts cards and so much more help to spread joy among our families in an otherwise challenging time. Wishes are typically updated beginning November 1. It’s helpful for gifts to be purchased by December 5 in order to ensure they arrive before our holiday gift distribution.

Through an Amazon Wish List we compile on behalf of the pediatric clinic, you can contribute toward the comfort of our patients and their families. Whether it’s a popular toy or a snack, these items are greatly appreciated by our patients and families during long treatment days.

More about item donations.

In order to safeguard our members’ health, all donations must be brand new, odor-free, in original packaging and purchased within the last 3 to 6 months. Stuffed animals and plush toys are only accepted when mailed directly from the manufacturer to Courage of Carly Fund.

There are certain items we cannot accept, these include: handmade items, oversized toys such as ride-on vehicles, items containing latex, remote- or radio-controlled toys, gift wrapped items, religious themed items or messages, medical supplies or equipment.

Space in the clinic to store all the wonderful toys is at a premium; as such we kindly recommend holding a “Gift Card” drive, instead of a traditional toy drive whenever possible. Gift cards allow us to maximize your gift to our patients because they provide our staff with the flexibility to make “on-demand” toy purchases or allow patients to have some freedom in their decision making during a time when most decisions are out of their control.

Our most popular gift card requests include Target, Walmart, Tim Hortons, Gaming System Credits and Amazon

Due to current hospital safety guidelines, in-person donations are currently limited. Please reach out to courageofcarlyfund@roswellpark.org or 716-845-4100 to schedule your potential donation drop-off.

Items not purchased from the Amazon Wish List may be sent to:

  • Roswell Park Alliance Foundation
    Attn: Courage of Carly Fund
    Elm and Carlton Streets
    Buffalo, NY 14263
